I am Jana Kaufmann, a committed medical student from Aarau, Switzerland. The processes taking place in the human body have always fascinated me, and I am proud to transform this passion into my profession.

Education

Medical studies: 2017 – today

I have been studying at the University of Bern for four years. In spring, I completed my Master's thesis entitled «Frequency of ischaemic stroke, intracranial haemorrhage and the role of perfusion imaging in patients with reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS) and posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) – a systematic review and meta-analysis». Further, I was honoured to present the results of this study at ESOC 2021.

Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences: 2013 – 2016

As my first university education, I completed a Bachelor's degree with a major in Communication Science and Media Research and a minor in Business Administration.

Work

Junior Research Assistant: 2020 – today

I currently work at the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU Bern) in Central Data Monitoring. In this context, I am responsible for reviewing the data of clinical trials.
